Drew Z. Greenberg has written and produced some of the biggest sci-fi shows out there, including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Smallville, Dexter, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Warehouse 13 and currently Arrow. If you’re a sci-fi fan, this is one of the main people you have to thank for a lot of your favorite episodes.
I was lucky enough to get a big chunk of time to chat with Greenberg (and considering how many of my favorite shows he’s worked on, I needed a big chunk of time) about everything from writing normal people vs. superheroes, Clem, a character from Buffy he loved writing for, writing strong and real female characters, what he learned from Joss Whedon, and nerd rage. (He wrote the famous Buffy episode where a certain vampire and her get busy in a rather dramatic way.) Check out our interview below and get the scoop on all his shows, behind-the-scenes scoop and hear his thoughts on Team Angel vs. Team Spike.
